Rowena House Morgan, 72, a native of Wayne County and a resident of Lauderdale County, passed away March 21, 2011, at ECM Hospital. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Greenview Funeral Home, with the service beginning at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be her brother-in-law, the Rev. Edward Pugh. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Andrew Morgan, and parents, Jamie Ray and Athea Faulkner House.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis W. Morgan (Gail), of Florence, Jerry Douglas Morgan (Susan), of Helena, Ala.; brother, Larry Ray House (Cindy), of Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Mary House Pugh (Ed), of Lebanon, Tenn., Nan House Berry, of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Katherine Graves (Brandon), of Birmingham, Ala., Anne Taylor Moore (Eric), of Florence, Anna Morgan, of Birmingham, Ala., Grace Morgan, of Birmingham, Ala.; great-grandchild, Harrison Graves, of Birmingham, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith Berry, Sam Prater, Randy Winborn, Bobby Moore, Ray House and Johnny Landers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ricky Irons, ICU, CCU and the sixth-floor staff at ECM Hospital.
