Bo and the Weevils, and Beau Allen as a solo artist, had a handful of 45s (and an 8 track tape) in the late 60s. Their biggest hit was "My Time", originally on Allen Records (owned by Beau's dad) and then released on Scepter Records. The song was No. 1 in Savannah for 6 weeks in 1968. One of their other tunes was featured on Psychedelic States: Georgia, a compilation of garage band recordings from the 60s. After the Weevils and Bo parted company The Ancestors,(www.theancestors.com ) backed Beau for several months. Bo died under what was described in the Wheeler County (GA.) newspaper as mysterious circumstances.

Bo Allen would like to thank all DJ's and radio stations for playing his latest release "My Time." Due to its outstanding reviews and reception, the staff of Bo Allen Productions are confident that "My Time" will hit the top 40 in the next 2 weeks. If you did not receive your copy of "My Time," send your name and address along with the call letters of your station to: Bo Allen Productions, P.O. Drawer F, Vidalia, Ga. 30474. "My Time" is nationally distributed by Sounds of Nashville, Nashville, Tennessee. (Advertisement) Billboard, March 30, 1968.
