Denver Mayor. He served as Mayor of Denver, Colorado from 1889 to 1891. He was the first, and only, Denver mayor forced to resign because of election fraud. Legendary westerners Bat Masterson and Soapy Smith were accused of helping him stuff ballot boxes to win the election.
