Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Prey-Mueller Funeral Home in Oglesby followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Church in Oglesby with Abbot Philip Davey of St. Bede Abbey officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be 9-11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Deutsch was born August 22, 1915 in Oglesby to Alphonse and Frances (Biancotti) Biolchini. She married Henry P. Deutsch on July 8, 1946 in Sacred Heart Church in Oglesby.
Mrs. Deutsch was a member of Holy Family Church in Oglesby and was involved in the Pals Group. Her first job was selling concessions at Starved Rock State Park. She then worked at Westclox and later as a broiler cook at the Vermillion Inn. She enjoyed visiting Starved Rock State Park, sewing and driving. She was proud to have passed her driver’s test for 2015.
Suvivors include her son, Richard (Rita) Deutsch of Ft. Wayne, IN; three granddaughters, Heather (Vince) Spilotro, Allison (Rick) Hoffmeyer and Sarah (Todd) Francke; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, John Biolchini of Oglesby and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on September 4, 1984; her sister, Louise Ponti and one brother, Joe Biolchini.
