The death of Alma A Lewis, Route 2, Hartford City, occurred at 11p.m. Wednesday at the Blackford County Hospital. A member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, she taught school several years, was a member of the Eastern Star, the Progressive Homemakers Club and Daughters of the King Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Blount and Lovey Dollar Blount. her husband, John W Lewis, died December 10, 1968. Before ,moving to Blackford county fifteen years ago, they lived in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Surviving children are Mrs. Bertha(Warren)Kiser of Marion; George Lewis of Route 2, Hartford City; also seven grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. One son, Bryce Lewis, and four sisters are deceased. Several nieces, nephews and cousins survive and an aunt, Mrs. Gladys Dollar.
Calling hours at the Keplinger Funeral Home will be from 2 to 9p.m. Friday and on Saturday morning. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Rex Lindemood
