The Modesto Bee, Modesto, CA - 3 Sep 1980, Wed., pg. 3 - THELMA M. MADDUX - Former Ceres resident Thelma Marie Maddux, 63, of Ahwahnee, died Monday in a Fresno hospital following a short illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. A native of Oklahoma, she moved to Ceres in 1960, and for the past five years had served as a National Park Service park technician in Yosemite National Park. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Carnation Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Henry Maddux of Ahwahnee; a daughter, Sharon DeFher of Fresno; two brothers, John Collins and Raymond Collins, both of Ceres, and four grandchildren.
