A resident of Bellaire Place, he was born in Greenville County, the son of the late Bunyan and May (McMahan) Wilbanks.
Mr. Wilbanks was retired from Judson T. Minyard Cadillac and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the Elks Club, and was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II and the Korean War. An avid pianist and singer, he was the brother of the Wilbanks Sisters Trio.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann W. Jones of Acworth, Ga.; a sister, Alvah Aiken of Gray Court; and a niece, Jeri Brown of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, June 12, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation was held prior to the services from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
