She was born January 15, 1944 in Marion, Ohio to the late Roland and Edith Richardson, the youngest of 14 children.
Linda was an avid reader, especially enjoying Nora Roberts novels and enjoyed spending time with her cats. Being outdoors, tending to her garden, featuring her favorite flowers-lilies and irises-was one of her most enjoyable activities. Possessing a contagious smile, Linda put her family first in all she did and was a wonderful cook, most notably remembered for her homemade gravies. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.
Linda is survived by her children, Leonard A. (LaLani) Aberts, Jr., Sherri L. Aberts and Jenny (Jeff) Lozier; nine grandchildren, Justin, Nick, Raychelle, Devon, Aimee and Adrain Aberts and Shelby, Dakota and Anna Lozier; three great-grandchildren, Ava Lozier, Julian Aberts and baby, Mason on the way; several brothers; and nieces and nephews, Tom Schrack, Sr., Tim Schrack, Sarah Phillips, Maria Schrack and Jimmy Traxler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard A. Aberts, Sr. whom she married December 1, 1962.
Friends and family may visit from 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. The funeral service conducted by Rev. Christopher R. Thomas will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with additional visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
