Louis D. Leiggi, of Princeton, died at home. A lifetime Princeton resident, he was a co-owner of Mike's Tavern on Bayard Lane.He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II as a corporal in the 8th Infantry Regiment of the 4th Division and the 464th M.P., Air Force. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Infantry Medal, Senate and General Assembly Citation, World War II Victory Medal, and the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. He was also been honored by the French government for having landed on Utah Beach on D-Day.He was a member of the Princeton American Legion Post No. 76 and was an avid supporter of the World War II National Memorial in Washington, D.C.The son of the late Michele and Lena Leiggi, he is survived by two sons, Louis and Bruce; three daughters, Kathleen, Marie and Helen;3 brothers, Albert, Michael and Alfonso; 5 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter
