He was born Jan. 28, 1943, the son of John and Mildred (DeCoursey) Atkins.
He owned and operated a dairy farm in Ferrisburgh for 21 years.
His hobbies were bailing hay, riding around on the roads of Addison County, and he enjoyed going to a tractor pull. He was always there to lend a helping hand.
He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Edmund, Hubert and Rollin.
Arrangements by the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes.
Interment will be in Gage Cemetery in Ferrisburgh in the spring.
