Clinton, MO, Sep 7 1895 - The angel of death in an unexpected moment, visited the peaceful community of Quarles and claimed for its own Mrs. Mary Runner, wife of W. W. Runner. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Gaupp and was born Aug. 25, 1868. Married Dec. 30, 1890 to Mr. Runner. United with the M.E. church when quite young and was a devoted member of the class of Quarles. A kind neighbor, a devoted wife and mother. She leaves a heart broken husband and two little children, the youngest only four days old. To her sorrowing husband, she has gone to return to you no more but there has been forged by the hand of God a link in the golden chain that will bind around you all the strongest and holiest influes of life. Burial at Englewood.
