Miss Edna May Baltzell, 69, of 8318 Fourteenth Ave., Hyattsville MD., a teacher in the Washington area elementary school system for 48 years, died Monday at Sibley Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of the district, Miss Baltzell was graduated from the Washington Normal School in 1912. In 1937 she received her Bachelor's degree from D.C. Teachers College.
She taught school at Takoma Park Elementary School, S.J. Bowen School and became head teacher at Greenleaf Elementary School.
After retirement she became an active member of St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal
Church in Hyattsville.
