She was born August 12, 1919 in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late Oather and Lura (Henderson) Morrison.
Dortha was a homemaker, and a former employee at the Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly. She was a 1937 graduate of Mt. Ephraim High School, a member of Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church where she was also a member of United Methodist Women. She loved writing letters, sending cards, sewing and embroidery.
In addition to her parents Dortha was preceded in death by her husband Walter Miley whom she married April 26, 1945 and passed away October 14, 1990; one brother Donald Morrison in WWII.
She is survived by two sons, Keil (Shirley) Miley of Senecaville and Isaac (Nancy) Miley of West Union; two daughters, Eva (Fritz Ritterbeck) Miley of Sharon and Alvira Miley of Sarahsville; five grandchildren, Brian (Sharon) Miley, Kimberly (David) Baker, Tracy (David) Barnhouse, Travis (Erin) Miley and Luke (Jessie) Miley; eight great grandchildren, Christopher, Jarred, Travie, Maria, Kiley, Jacob M., Jacob F. and Abby; several nieces and nephews and two grand dogs, Cooper and Lady.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville where services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Tom Matus officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Ephraim Cemetery.
