CLARENCE JOSEPH FRANCIS INDIAN ISLAND - Clarerfce Joseph Francis 82 husband of the late Violet Francis died Feb 15 1994 at his residence He was born on Indian Island Oct 10 1911 the son of Joseph and Mary Jane (Saulis) Francis He was a veteran of World War II and was employed for many years in the Bangor -area shoe factories Clarence cofounded AA of Indian Island more than 30 years ago and diligently served as a counselor after his retirement He was a member of St Ann's Catholic Church of Indian Island He will be fondly remembered for his generosity and his articulate wood carvings He is survived by one sister Rosalie Francis of Indian Island two brothers Leo Francis and Paul Francis Sr both of Indian Island four (Stepchildren Alberta Meader of Indian Island Margaret Fleming of Ashland Marjorie Bartley of Live Oak Fla Joseph Francis of Indian Island many grandchildren great-grandchildren nieces and nephews Friends may call anytime after 1 pm Friday at St Ann's Catholic Church Indian Island where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Saturday Spring interment will be in the Tribal Cemetery Arrangements by Kiley-Birmingham- Funeral Home 287 S Main St Old Town
