Marilyn E. Reed 86, Indianapolis, died March 11, 2007. She was born July 12, 1920 in Mt Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of Lewis and Rose (Haney) Brackett. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, D. Mark Reed. She was a loving mother and devoted homemaker as well as being an avid reader. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra K. (George) Duvall; sons, Mark "Pete" (Shirley), D. Stephen (Mavis), Gregory C. (Brenda) and Christopher P. Reed; sister, Dorothy Hollenbeck. There are nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 16 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
