From the Reno Gazette-Journal, October 1, 2010:

Phylis Ann Minor passed away peacefully on Monday, September 27, 2010 with her loving family at her side. She was born October 4, 1930 in Rochelle, Illinois and was raised in Huntington, Indiana. After graduation from Huntington High School she continued her education at the Ohio State University.

As a young woman, Phylis moved to Nevada from Ohio with her husband, Richard Minor. She immediately embraced the west and has made Reno her home since 1959.

She worked for many years as a legal secretary, but always felt that her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful friend and others felt they were blessed by just spending time with her.

Phylis had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel with her family. At home she enjoyed reading, crafting, cooking, entertaining and gardening. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her boundless energy, thoughtfulness, hospitality, and kindness.
