MOUNTAIN GROVE, Mo. -- Mankato native Williams "Bill" Denison, 52, of Mountain Grove, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998. He died at Jackson, Miss., of an apparent heart attack.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Mankato, the Rev. Stephen W. Minnema officiating. Private burial is in Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato.

Visitation is one hour before services Monday at the church. Landkamer's Johnson-Boman Funeral Home, Mankato, is handling arrangements.

Mr. Denison was born Feb. 6, 1945, to Warren and Evelyn (Thornson) Denison at Mankato. After he graduated in 1963 from Mankato High School, he attended Lake Forest College in Illinois. He had served in the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of Golden State College. He married Susan Barrow Moore in 1978. They later divorced. After he moved to Mountain Grove, he was a dairy farmer, insurance salesman and truck driver. His interests included music, reading, outdoor activities and coaching youth athletic teams.

Mr. Denison is survived by his mother; two sons, Jesse and Otis, both of Mountain Grove; two daughters, Heather Denison of Phoenix, Ariz., and Shannon of Mountain Grove; three sisters and their husbands , Mary and Bill Nelson of Mankato, Ardy and Bob Volk of Plymouth and Barb and Bob O'Connor of Hackensack, N.J.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
