Delno F. Nidey, 87, of Terre Haute, IN, passed away at 1:55 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2000 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
Delno was born on June 13, 1912 in Terre Haute, IN to Thomas and Jesse Umstott Nidey.
He married Edith Audrey Beasley on February 8, 1937 in Martinsville, IL. She preceded him in death on March 3, 1979.
Delno married Edna Denbo in Casey, IL in 1994. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Kelly L. Nidey of Casey, IL, two daughters, Sharon M. Thompson of Davenport, IA and Betty J. Wofford of Casey, IL, eight grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; on son, Eugene Dwight Nidey; and one half brother, Harold Howe.
Delno retired from Holstein Coal Company and was known by many as the local coal delivery man. He was a member of the United Bretheren Church in Terre Haute and the Casey Senior Citizens Kazoo Band.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Olive Cemetery of Martinsville with REv. Marvin Oakley officiating.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 pm prior to services at the Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey.
