ZANESVILLE: Philip S. MacLaine Jr., 80, of Zanesville, passed away 11:10 am Friday, May 31, 2013 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House.

Philip was born July 6th 1932 in Earnest, PA the son of the late Philip Sr. and Minnie (Morley) MacLaine. He retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy where he worked as a lab analyst; he worked for the Starlight School and he volunteered for Good Samaritan Medical Center for over 16 years. He was a member of the Moose and Elks lodges of Zanesville and a member of the American Legion Post # 29, an avid golfer and a member of the Archer's Duffers Golf League; he was a faithful member of the Market Street Baptist Church in Zanesville and he served his country in the US Air Force.

Philip is survived by his wife Patricia A. (McCormick) MacLaine whom he married August 15, 1954; his son Philip III (Julie) MacLaine of Zanesville; his daughters Linda (Dave) Cole of St. Louis, MO and Elizabeth (Tom) Lianez of Zanesville; his brother Richard (Nancy) MacLaine of Duncan Falls; his sisters Nancy Farris of Zanesville, Lois Morris of Columbus, Carol (Jim) Boyer of Zanesville and Vickie MacLaine of Zanesville; his grandchildren Jennifer Allen, Ian Cole, Katie Lianez, Kasey MacLaine and Ally MacLaine and his great-grandchildren Emily, Hannah and Anthony Cole.

In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his brother David MacLaine and his grandson David Andrew Cole.

Visitations will be 3 to 6pm Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be Monday at 3pm with Pastor Howard Thompson officiating.
