TEXAS CITY - Donald Ray Love Sr., 37, died Tuesday at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mainland Funeral Home chapel in La Marque, the Rev. D.N. Benford Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Mainland Memorial Cemetery, Hitchcock.
Visitors may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a wake will be held 7-8 p.m. Sunday.
Born April 23, 1951, in Pineville, La.
Mr. Love was a construction worker and a former resident of Dallas.
Survivors include his mother, Disie M. Davis of Dallas; his father, Albert Love of New Orleans; his children. Jackie Love and Donald Ray Love Jr., both of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Dorothy Williams, Linda Simmons, Chiquita Davis and Sharon Humphrey, all of Dallas; three brothers, Louis Love of La Marque, and Adam Davis and John Davis Jr., both of Dallas; his grandmother. Leia Scott of Alexandria, La.; his grandfather, Earl Prudhomme of Los Angeles; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends of the family will be pallbearers.
