Jerry was born in The Bronx, N.Y., and came to Staten Island in 1954. He was the son of Evelyn Maddi.

Jerry married Clara Lee in 1958, shortly after graduating high school. They had four children:

Thomas Maddi
Paul Maddi
Patricia Maddi
Susan Maddi


A graduate of Manhattan College, New York. He was employed by the Western Electric Co., in Manhattan, N.Y. and worked for Nassau Smelting on Staten Island.

He was employed as Labor Relations Manager for Western Electric - a subsidiary of then AT&T when he and his family moved to Naperville, Illinois.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and belonged to the Holy Name Society of St. Sylvester's R.C. Church, Concord, Staten Island, N.Y.

An active member, he served as district leader in the New York State Conservative Party on Staten Island before moving to Naperville, IL in 1968.

He died at Loyola Medical Center, in Naperville. His untimely death at age 39, from leukemia, was a shock to all who knew him. He was a gentle person. Both he and his wife Clara were a joy to know.

He was buried from the Friedrich Funeral Home with a mass at St. Raphael's R.C. Church in Naperville.
