Son of William Henry Burks and Wanda Rena Shubert. Married Faye Elizabeth Bishop. To this union the following children are known. Kenneth Ray and Billy Wayne. PFC in the US Army during World War II.

Services for Kenneth R. Burks, 63, Troup, are pending with Cottle Funeral Home in Troup. Mr. Burks died Tuesday at a Troup residence. He was bprn Jan. 15, 1921, in Farmersville, and had been a longtime Troup area resident. Employed by General Refractories in Troup, he attended a Pentecostal church, and served in the military in WorldWar II. Survivors include three sons, Wayne Burks, Billy Burks and Rt y Burks, all of Troup; a daughter, Marie Swinriey, Arp; a brother, Arnold Jackson Burks, Troup; a sister, Shirley Roscoe, Dallas; seven grandchildren; and ; four great-grandchildren.
