Mary was born in Nebraska to George Wesch & Nellie Layman. Unfortunately, her mother died the same month she turned 5. It was a devastating time for a little girl. Her Aunt Louise raised her in her home as her own, My mother called her Mom and I called her Grandma. In 1951 she was working in the Sagebrush Cafe in Shoshoni,Wyoming and met her husband. She married Gilbert Cole on September 13th that year.She had two children, a girl and boy. They moved a lot as her husband drilled oil wells. In 1965 they moved to Tucson, Arizona to stay. Mary loved people and they loved her. She was never too busy to help someone or just listen.
December 29, 1996 she died and heaven gained what we lost. She is never absent as her smile, love of crafts, making cakes and love of others lives on in her family.
She was the most loving and kind person in the world, which I had the priviledge to call MOM.
