I think this Miney Thompson is the wife Elisha Whisman and Gordon Thompson on the basis that her Death Certificate states that she was buried in the Whisman Cemetery in St Helens, Kentucky. Also I believe her to be the mother of George and Joseph Whisman buried in the same cemetery, the sons of Elisha Whisman and the fact that all three of their handmade tombstones are similar in construction and the fact that Elisha was the brother of Enoch 'Walker' Whisman who originally owned the property where this cemetery located. There is a problem however with the birth year on the tombstone.

According to her Death Certificate, Miney Thompson was born September 24, 1870 in Airdale, Lee County, Kentucky and died, July1, 1953 in Hazard, Perry County Kentucky.

The daughter of David and Nancy Ann (Lewis) Thomas.

She was the wife of Elisha Whisman who was the son of Moses and Gillean (Stamper) Whisman.

Elisha and Miney had the following children;
1. William H. Whisman, b. 1889
2. George W. Whisman, 1893-1952
3. Harrison Whisman, 1895-1993
4. Joseph Whisman, b. 1899-1956
5. Robert Stanley Whisman, 1901-1973

Elisha Whisman died 1901.

Miney married 2nd, Gordon Thompson, one known child;
1. Mollie Thompson, b. 1906.

Miney's first name appears variously as follows;
Death certificate: 1953, Mamie Thompson.
1870 Federal census: Armina Thomas.
1900 census: Armina (Armand) Whisman.
1910 census: Armina Thompson.
1920 census: Miney (Mary) Thompson.
1930 census: Mina Thompson.
1940 census: Minnie Thompson.
Son, George Whisman Death Certificate: Mina Thomas.
