Rick was born in Bartlesville, Okla., to Harold R. Carlson and Anna D. (Sanders) Carpenter. Richard was a loving father, husband and son. He was loved by his family and friends throughout his life and 7-year battle with brain cancer. He was a carpenter and a member of Westwood Lutheran Church. Richard enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his wife and family.
Rick was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Vicky; mother Anna; four children, Amy Langford and husband, John; David and wife Kelly; Zach and wife Melissa; Sara Bergerhofer and husband Josh; and 14 grandchildren; two step children, Jenni Scott and husband Darrin; and Phillip Henderson and wife Rachel; and a brother William Shane Carpenter and wife Lori.
