Sallie was married to A.W. Hicklin, son of Jason Isbell Hicklin and Isabella Ferguson Hicklin. Alfonso is buried in the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas. She died shortly after giving birth to twin daughters who died just before her and are buried near her.
