Services for Daniel W. Milam, 83, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the First Assembly of God with the Reverend Tom Lakey officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at the Vera Cemetery in Vera, Texas. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today, June 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Mr. Milam passed away on June 3, 2013. Daniel was born on Jan. 2, 1930 in Pauls Valley, Okla. to Sterling and Dona Milam. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Aline Wiggins on May 19, 1951 in Weatherford, Texas. Loved ones include his wife of 62 years; children, Janet Ortega and husband, Benny, Gary Milam and wife, Mary, and Sherry McCleskey and husband, Larry; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Daniel's family wishes to express their appreciation for the exceptional care provided by the staff of Bender Terrace Nursing Home.
