Services for Evelyn Juanita "Tootie" Wilbert Banks, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Avery Chapel AME Church in Brookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at Williams Mortuary. Mrs. Banks, 59, died Jan. 23, 2009, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. She was bom in Lincoln County on Sept 25, 1949, to Edward Wilbert Sr. and Alberta Buie Wilbert.
She was a 1967 graduate of Alexander High School. She was retired. She was a member of Avery Chapel AME Church.
Preceding her in death were her mother; her sisters, Dorothy Jean Wilbert; and her brother, Billy Wayne Wilbert.
Survivors are her father, Edward Wilbert Sr., of Brookhaven; her sons, Kevin Wilbert and wife, Vanessa, of Jackson, and Dedric Banks, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Daphne "San" Wilbert, of Brookhaven, and LaTonya Banks, of Brookhaven; a sister, Mary Grayer, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Edward "Sonny" Wilbert Jr., of Nashville, Tenn., Marvin "Bo" Wilbert and wife, Cynthia, of Dallas, Texas, Van Wilbert and wife, Barbara, of Jackson, Kenny Ray Wilbert and Robert "Bob" Wilbert and wife, Linda Teal", all of Brookhaven; her 11 grandchildren; a devoted sister-in-law, Cheryl Banks, of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
