Loyd Murphy Bagwell
Loyd Murphy Bagwell, 76, died Saturday, December 18, at the Oktibbeha County Hospital. Services for Mr. Bagwell were held Monday, December 20, at 2 p.m. from Ackerman United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Enon Cemetery. A native of Choctaw County, he was a retired Master Sargent of the U.S. Air Force and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Bagwell was a member of VFW, American Legion, and U.S. Air Force Sergeants Association. He served on the administrative board of Ackerman United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Bagwell of Ackerman; two daughters, Gloria Armstrong of Starkville and Sarah Briggs of Round Rock, Texas; two stepsons, James Al McCulloch of Ackerman and Larry McCulloch Vinton, VA; one sister, Sara Frances White of Coffeeville; a brother, M. L. Bagwell of Carrolton; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
