Grace A. Culligan, age 89, a former Two Rivers resident, died Tuesday morning, March 23, 2004, at Lake Geneva Manor, Lake Geneva.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. William O'Brien with burial of the cremated remains at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers, at a later date.

Grace was born on March 14, 1915, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter and Alice Bedford Abel. On Sept. 2, 1937, the former Grace Abel married William J. Culligan at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1987. Grace was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing Company until her retirement in 1977. She was a former member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Eagles Auxiliary and Veterans Auxiliary of Two Rivers. She enjoyed bowling, golf and watching the local baseball games at Walsh Field.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Mary Lea Culligan, Sturgeon Bay; two grandchildren: Timothy Culligan and his wife Michaelyn, Two Rivers; Kristin Theoharopoulos and her husband Walter, Green Bay; and three great grandchildren: Preston and Etan Theoharopoulos and Lauren Culligan; three sisters: Dorothy Kania, Manitowoc; Jeanette Kelly, Milwaukee; Lynette Detjen, Colorado; one brother and sister-in-law: Wilber and Phyllis Abel, Madison. Grace was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cynthia Culligan in 1998, and one sister, Vivian Donkey.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home on Saturday, March 27, 2004 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Grace A. Culligan, age 89, a former Two Rivers resident, died Tuesday morning, March 23, 2004, at Lake Geneva Manor, Lake Geneva.
