Charles Wigren immigrated from Sweden to America with his sister Caroline Charlotta Wigren in 1876 at the age of 14. Carolina was 18. Charles became a bartender in Chicago. Charles married Edna Fjall/Fields in about 1889. They bought a lot in Crystal Lake, Illinois with the intention of building a home there but he passed away before they realized their dream. He was a saloon keeper in the Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago in 1890 when he died of typhoid.
