William Earl Chambers, 70, died Saturday, at VA Medical Center. He was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church. Dispatcher for the Lancaster Police Department. and a veteran of World War II. Survived by his wife, Madrew Robs Chambers; Lancaster two step-sons, Bobby P Lane, Danville and Jerry M Lane, Lexington; and one sister; Mildred White; Knoxville; TN. Funeral services 2 pm.

LANCASTER — William Earl Chambers, 70, of Danville Road, died at 4:20 pm Saturday, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lexington, after a long illness. He had been a dispatcher for the Lancaster Police Department and was a member of Lancaster Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II. Born in Oneida, Tenn., on Dec 21 1913, he was the son of the late SS and Leona White Chambers. Survivors include his wife, Madrew Ross Chambers; two stepsons, Bobby P Lane of Danville and Jerry M Lane of Lexington; and a sister Mildred White of Knoxville Funeral was held today at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev Ted Coleman Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers were E C Steeley, Charles Barnes, Lewis Burdette, Mike Barrett. Raymond D Hatfield. and Cecil Henry. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Lancaster Christian Church Garrard County Ambulance Service or Hospice of Boyle County.

Ex-Knoxvillian Chambers Dies

Earl Chambers, Lancaster, Ky, formerly of Knoxville, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington, after a long illness. Services for Chambers, 70, were Tuesday. Chambers was a retired police radio dispatcher in Lancaster. Relatives say he also ran a restaurant in Lancaster. He leaves his wife, Madrew Lane Chambers; and a sister Mrs. Mark White, Knoxville.
