Rev. Con Wesley Henley, Age 84, a resident of West-Haven Retirement Center, Died Sunday at the Wellmont Hospice House. Rev. Henley was a minister for the past 68 years and founded the Gospel Tabernacle Church. He was active as a missionary and founded several churches in Jamaica. He had a love for the outdoors and loved
to hunt and spend time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Henley, an infant daughter, Phyllis Jean Henley and his Son-in- law, Dan Lewis.

He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Lewis of Abingdon, Virginia, Kathy and husband Irvin Wyatt, Jr. of Meadowview, Virginia; two sons, Ken and wife Pat Henley of Bristol, Virginia; Darrell and wife Linda Henley of Meadowview, Virginia; one sister, Nannie Carr of Greenville, SC; one brother, Kerry C. Henley of Abingdon, Virginia. 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The celebration of life for the Rev. Con Wesley Henley will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening in the Gospel Tabernacle Church, Meadowview, Virginia with the Rev. Irvin Wyatt, Jr. and Rev. Tim Norris officiating. A eulogy by his two grandsons, Steve Lewis and Chad Wesley Wyatt will be given. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Goad, Dave Wyatt, Rick Wyatt, Brian Osborne, Kevin Horne and Mike Blazer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Gospel Tabernacle Church. Friends may also stop by the Campbell & Frost Funeral Home after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday to sign the register and view the memorial tribute to Rev. Con Henley.
