Her death certificate reports that she was buried in Ennis, Texas, and her husband was buried in Myrtle Cemetery in 1931.

While the 1900 census of Precinct 1 in Ellis County, Texas, shows her birth as JUN 1854 in Georgia (both parents born Georgia), her death certificate and her grave marker both give the date 18 JUN 1857, and her reported ages on other censuses--4 (1860), 14 (1870), and 21 (1880--comport more closely with the birth year 1857.

As her parents were in Talbot County, Georgia (in Land District 23), by 1850 and remained there, Sarah was almost certainly born there. Daughter of Alexander & Martha Ann (SMITH) JOHNSON, who married 04 JAN 1844 in Upson County, Georgia. Sarah married 24 AUG 1879 in Talbot County, Georgia, to George Thomas ISOM. Mother of at least seven children.

She appears as Sarah F. JOHNSON (aged 4 years) in her parents' household on the 1860 census of Redbone District (Georgia Militia District #876 - served by the Centre Post Office), Talbot County, Georgia, where they are farming, and as Sarah JOHNSON (aged 14 years) with her parents on the 1870 census of the same district; that year next door are the households of two men who are apparently Sarah's brothers. Note that on the same page is the household of Richard ISOM, born ca. 1835 in Georgia, and wife Elizabeth REVELL (ca. 1825 Twiggs County, Georgia-after 1893), who married 26 MAY 1853 in Talbot County, Georgia. She is the daughter of Matthew REVELL and Mariah Jane (SHERRARD) REVELL.] Richard and Elizabeth (REVELL) ISOM are enumerated on the 1880 census of Talbotton District, Talbot County, Georgia.

In 1880, still in Redbone District, Thomas (23) and Sarah F. (21) ISOM are farming, with their daughter Beula (born Apr. 1880) present, next door to Sarah's parents and their younger children.

On the 1900 census of Precinct 1 in Ellis County, Texas, G. T. (born Apr. 1854 in Georgia, both parents born in South Carolina) and S. F. (born June 1854 in Georgia, both parents born in South Carolina) are farming and have been married 22 years, and she has borne 7 children, 6 of whom are still living; also present in the household are: Nellie (born May 1881 in Georgia); Moly (son, born Jun 1889 in Georgia); Ora (born Jan 1892 in Texas); and C. A. (son, born Nov. 1896 in Texas).

Son Deloy ISOM was born in or about 1882 in Georgia and died in or about 1884 in Georgia.

Daughter: Beulah (ISOM) JENKINS and husband William Henry JENKINS
