Joseph F. Anderson, of Minneapolis, was born April 13, 1889, in the town of Ida, Douglas county. He was united in marriage to Alma Anderson of Evansville, Dec. 29, 1923. To this union were born a daughter, Ada Elsie, and a son, Stanley. For several years he was employed at the Creo Dip Co., of Minneapolis. Mr. Anderson became ill on Friday, April 17, and passed away Tuesday morning at St. Andrews hospital, at the age of 42 years and eight days. A brother and his mother preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure, his bereaved widow, Mrs. Alma Anderson, two children Ada Elsie and Stanley, his father, C. P. Anderson, one brother, Axel, four sisters, Mrs. Victor Anderson of Fergus Falls, Mrs. Frank Danielson of LaGrand, Mrs. Oscar Johnson and Alice of Garfield.
He was confirmed in the Ida Mission church and was at the time of death a member of Salem Mission church of Minneapolis. The family mourns a kind and loving husband and father. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Lake Ida Swedish Mission church. Rev. P. J. Lindberg delivered a sermon in Swedish and Rev. C. A. Beckman preached in English. The pallbearers were Gustof Johnson, Theodore Johnson, Hilmer Peterson, Harold Johnson, Eric Ericson and Albert Toft.
