Bill graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Industrial Management, Alabama Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Bachelor of Industrial Management, Florida Institute of Technology degree of Master of Science Systems Management in Engineering. He served in the USMCR reserves for 6 months. Before retiring in 1993, he worked as an Operations Research Analyst for U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama for 35 years. After moving to Pensacola and Perdido Key, he loved to surf fish with his wife, Lynn in the Gulf of Mexico, watch his Auburn football team play and work on carpenter projects around the home.
For almost 28 years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Carolyn (Lynn) Cerka Anderson. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter, Melanie Ezzell; daughter, Holly (Melissa) Anderson and four grandsons, Jamie, Sean, Dustin and Aiden.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the National Cremation & Burial Society in Milton, Florida and Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri. Family members will gather to celebrate Bill's life with a graveside ceremony at the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating the services will be Lonnie Johnson, Pastor of the Baptist Church in Lancaster, Missouri. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
