Emma G. Whitfield, 89; 202 Sheffield St; died Saturday morning at St John's Medical Center after an extended illness. Born Aug. 26, 1894, she had resided in Anderson all her life. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella of St Mary's Catholic Church. She was the wife of retired General Motors executive Harry Whitfield, who preceded her in death. She is survived by 3 daughters: Lavonne Teush and Mrs. Ernest (Madonna) Brow, both of Anderson, and Winifred Weatherford of Camarillo, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's with the Rev. Joseph Ruffing officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Married 15 June 1911 in Anderson. Niece of Timothy Green, lived for some time with the Greens; named as sister in Anna Green Gluck's obituary.
