Florence Iva Bundy Smith, 87, Horseshoe Drive, Penfield, died Monday at Ridgeview Elder Care of Curwensville.
Born May 22, 1922 in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Morris and Emma Hunter Bundy. She was married to Lloyd P. "Bud" Smith on Aug. 10, 1940. He preceded her in death June 3, 1986.
She was a 1940 graduate of Penfield High School and was a member of the Penfield Free Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker and lived her entire life in Penfield.
She is survived by a son, Lloyd P. "Bud" Smith Jr. of Byrnedale; two daughters, Norma (Robert) Whelpley and Barbara (Craig) Plaszenski, all of Penfield; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two infant brothers, Melvin and Mendel; and a grandson, Jason.
SMITH: Florence Iva Bundy, Horseshoe Drive, Penfield, died Feb. 15, 2010. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Miller officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
