Carmen Louise White Burkett was the daughter of William Henry White and Nancy Morphew/Morfue Martin White. William and Nancy were married in June 1919. Nancy died before the 1930 census, because William Henry White is listed as a widower and his daughters, Carmen and Dorothy are living with him. The birth certificates for Carmen and Dorothy both list Nancy Morphew (maiden name) as their mother. It appears that Nancy was married once before she married William Henry White, because their marriage certificate lists her as "Mrs. Nancy Martin," and in the 1920 census, a son named "Ron M" was listed as being 5 years old, only a year after William and Nancy's marriage. I have yet to find Nancy's burial.
