Born December 15, 1947, in Shelby County, Texas, Alton L. Kimbro was the son of the late Sebern and Avis (Renfro) Kimbro. Alton had been a truck driver and was currently employed at Bear Creek Farms in Timpson.
Survivors include wife Brenda Griffith of Timpson; sons Aaron Kimbro and wife Jenny of Pflugerville, TX, and Allen Kimbro and wife Brittany of Timpson; daughter Angie Kimbro of Timpson; adopted son Toby Griffith and wife Chaska of Arlington, TX; brothers Hoyt Kimbro of Center, TX, and Kenneth Kimbro of Houston; 7 grandchildren: Rick Oliver II, Chris Oliver, Jessica Oliver, Dillon Kimbro, Ally Kimbro, Baylor Kimbro, and Brecken Kimbro; and special granddaughter Amber Nicole Blount.
In addition to his parents, Alton Kimbro was preceded in death by brother Allen Leon Kimbro and 2 sisters, Shirley Ruth Kimbro and Wilma Lee Kimbro.
