Nov 11, 1933 - June 8, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Granville Garrett Gillespie was born November 11, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of William M. and Elma C. (Childers) Gillespie. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 8, 2013. He was preceded by his beloved wife, Donna Kay Gillespie; and a granddaughter. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Crose and her husband Derryle, of Oklahoma City; his son, John Gillespie and his wife Tammy, of Union, Kentucky; his three stepchildren; his five grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren. Granville retired in 2003 after 52 years in the transportation business. He enjoyed his participation in Bible Study Fellowship, spending time with his church family, reading the Word, playing golf and bowling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Baptist Relief Fund, Baptist General Convention, 3800 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73112. Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Putnam City Baptist Church, with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
