James "Jimmy" McGuire Beaver, Sr. 55 of Avenue, MD died September 6, 2005 in Avenue, MD. Born November 7, 1949 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of the late Kelso Farrell and Agnes Minnett Hall Beaver. He was the loving husband of Ruth Ann Wall Beaver whom he married on July 8, 1972 in St. John's Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD. He is survived by his children James Beaver, Jr. of Avenue, MD, Deborah O'Donnell and her husband Edward both of Virginia Beach, VA; brother Charles Beaver of Leonardtown, MD and one grandchild Bailey O'Donnell. He was preceded in death by his brother Kelso Beaver, Jr. Mr. Beaver was a life long St. Mary's County resident and graduate of Chopticon High School Class of 1967. He worked as a Program Manager for 3 years at C-Systems International. He served in the U.S. Army for 18 1/2 years from 1968 until April 20, 1987. He received the following honors during his military career: Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Expert Badge Rifle M16, Maryland Commendation Medal and Maryland Meritorious Service Medal. His hobby was motorcycles. The Family will receive friends on Friday, September 9, 2005 from 5:00 -8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD with Father Francis Early officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chuck Bietzell, John Lacey, Jr., Joseph St. Clair, John Wise, Bill Guy and Howie Guy.
