Seldal, Betty J., passed away on June 9, 2013 surrounded by family after a two year battle with cancer. She was born April 25, 1928 to James and Mildred (Barton) Bell in Wyocena, WI. She graduated from Portage High School in 1944 where she played in the high school marching band. On November 29, 1947 she married Russell J. Seldal at First Methodist Church in Portage, WI.

Betty enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, her church Bethel Lutheran, Middleton Senior Center, and her Euchre card group.

Betty is survived by her sons David (Barbara) of Madison and Dale (Gayle) of De Forest, son-in-law George Krasny of Milwaukee. Granddaughters Rebecca (Jason) Hook, Sarah Knight, Heather (Shawn) Gilbertson, Katherine (Ryan) Bast, Julie and Lisa Wetlaufer, and five great-grandchildren: Harper, Amber, Taisha, Riley, and Joakima. She is also survived by her sisters Ruth, Lula, Jeanette, and Sharon; brother Jim and brother-in-law Ken. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell, daughter Elaine, sister Lola, and brothers John and Jerry.

Visitation will be held at Cress Funeral and Cremation Service, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, Wisconsin, Friday June 14, 2013 from 10:00am-12:00pm with services at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.Information above from the SSDI
