He married Agnes Northman Mortensen on December 21, 1921 in Salt Lake City UT; she was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of Jens Michael Mortensen (1868-?) and Judith Carolina Northman (1872-1946).
He was the son of the late Niels Peter Anderson and Hansine Elizabeth Nielson Anderson (they married on June 20 1888 in Cache County, UT). He was the brother of the late Anna Elizabeth Anderson Trost.
Survivors include three sons: Jack N Anderson (columnist), Bethesda, MD; Warren L Anderson, Karachi, Pakistan; Gordon L Anderson, Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; one sister, Afton Jensen, St. George; and two brothers, Rulon Anderson and Elmer Anderson, both of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 1, 1990, at Russon Brothers mortuary in Salt Lake City, followed by interment.
