"Alice K. Williams died at her home Saturday, March 17th, after a short illness. She was born November 21, 1861 in this village, the daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Becker. She had lived nearly all her life with the exception of about twenty years in this vicinity. The remainder of her life was spent in Albany. She was united in marriage with Alvin L. Williams, of Cooperstown, August 22, 1880. Mrs. Williams was a loving wife and a devoted Christian, earnest in church work being associated with the Episcopal church in this town for a great many years. Besides the husband above mentioned, she is survived by two brothers, John and Charles Becker, of Cooperstown and Trenton, N. J., respectively; two sisters, Mrs. George Morris of Cooperstown, and Mrs. George Armstrong of Schenectady. Services were held at the home Monday at 2:30 o'clock. Burial in Lakewood cemetery."
