Requiem high mass will be celebrated
Friday'at 9 a. m. by Father
Cuthbert of St. Anthony's
Catholic church for Henry L.
Burke, Sr., .73, who died at his
home, 831 Main St., at noon
Wednesday following an extended
illness. He had retired two years
ago after 47 years service with
the C. and O. railroad and was a
former yardmaster stationed at
Cabin Creek.
Mr. Burke was a son of Michael
and Adelia Diamond Burke, formerly of
Coalburg. Surviving are
his widow, Mrs. Joella Hendricks-
Burke; a son, Henry L., Jr., of
Charleston: two daughters, Mrs.
C. S. Imlay of Charleston and Mrs.
Robert N. Lynch of Montgomery;
two brothers, E. F. of Coalburg
and Paul L. of Huntington, and
two sisters, Miss Mary Burke of
Coalburg and Mrs. Nora Melenric
of Charleston.
Burial will be in tie family plot
in Cunningham Memorial park.
The body will remain at the Simp-
son Funeral home until time for
services. Members of the Knights
of Columbus will recite the rosary,
led by Fr. Cuthbert, at 8:30 p. m.
