Robert B. (Bob) Daniel of Lincoln, Alabama, a Moore County native, died early Monday in a Talladega, Alabama hospital after a short illness. He was 59 years old.

Daniel was an employee of Bynum Army Ammunition Depot in Bynum, Alabama. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 192 in Lynchburg, Woodmen of the World, and the Church of Christ in Talladega.

He was the son of the late James N. and Emma Parks Daniel of Lynchburg and the great-nephew of Jack Daniel, founder of the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg. He attended Moore County schools and David Lipscomb College in Nashville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrison Funeral Home, with Tommy Exum officiating. Burial will be in Lynchburg Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Yvonne Taylor Daniel of Lincoln, Alabama; two daughters, Mrs. Jo Bryant, Murfreesboro, and Mrs. Tommy York, Tullahoma; a son, Kenneth Butler Daniel, Lincoln, Alabama; a sister, Nell Tucker of Mulberry; and a granddaughter, Joanna Templeton, Murfreesboro.
