Eva Pearl Schlegel, 87 of Fort Collins Colorado passed away peacefully at her home Friday evening May 31, 2013. Eva was born to Pete and Marie Schlegel on February 21, 1926 in Wellington, CO. She grew up in Wellington and attended schools in the area. She graduated from Wellington High in 1944. Eva never married and has no children. She has been an aunt and godmother to many surviving nieces and nephews.

She worked at Poudre Valley REA in Fort Collins for 10 years and continued employment as a senior administrative secretary in the Cooperative Extension Service Department at Colorado State University for 28 years.

Eva was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was baptized March 1926 and confirmed on March 1940.

Throughout the years, Eva had a deep love for her kitties, Twinkle, Shasha, and Harley.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents Pete and Marie; her two brothers, Harold Schlegel and Leonard Schlegel; her four sisters, Emma Beidleman, Irene Schwartz, Caroline Walker and Mary Jo Schwartz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, St. John's Lutheran Church, 305 E Elizabeth. Rev. Ron Nichol will officiate. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Roselawn Cemetery.
