If they are buried on the SE side of this cemetery they are in the Veterans Cemetery, the Merchant Marine was just for the Merchant Marines who came to NM because the majority of them had TB and Fort Stanton had a TB Sanitarium. Most all of the Merchants Marines were from foreign countries so they could not ship their remains back home or risk infecting more people. It covered all Merchant Marines up to the early 60's. SE is for all the new vets.
