John Schneider Sheboygan Press July 17, 1936

John Schneider, 74, retired Manitowoc County farmer, who resided in this city since 1930, died Thursday at Sheboygan Memorial hospital, following a short illness. Mr. Schneider was well-known in the town of Meeme and was supervisor and school treasurer there for a number of terms.
Born on a farm in Manitowoc County, May 1, 1862, Mr. Schneider received his education in the rural schools of that vicinity. In 1887 he was married to Catherine Mueller and the couple located on a farm in the town of Schleswig. After sixteen years they moved from there to a farm in the town of Meeme from where they came to this city in 1930.
Mrs. Schneider preceded her husband in death three years ago. A son died seven years ago and a daughter passed away one and one half years ago. Since the death of the daughter, Mr. Schneider had made his home with another daughter, Mrs. Alphons Heus, 1112 Geele Avenue.
Mr. Schneider is survived by eight children, Mrs. Rudolph Theleke, Mrs. Alphons Heus, Edwin and Al Schneider all of this city, William of the town of Liberty, Ferdinand, Kiel, Oscar, Rhine Center, Theodore, Millersville; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three brothers, Henry of Colby, Ferdinand of he town of Meeme, and Herman of this city.
Serviced will be at Robert H. Kroos Funeral home, The Rev. M. Bollman of Ada will officiate and burial will be made in Wildwood cemetery.
